Creating a post

The topic post feature works the same way as posting on a Team or Ride page with some additional functionality for their Topic administrator.

The topic settings can control who can post, send a post with a once off notification or whether  a continuous style notification is created

Ongoing post updates - WhatsApp style

The Topic Administrator can select what settings as to whether the topic members can create a notification, whether this is ongoing or once off.

This is enabled when the administrator and the topic settings > Post settings selects 'All members' for 'Who can notify Topic members'.

Post Notifications settings

When a member posts, if the notification setting has been set to allow topic members to notify, then any member posting has the three options available.

Just in case people within the topic may not wish to get ongoing notifications, there is the option to mute particular post or remove notifications entirely for that particular topic.

If people are constantly inundated with bells and pinging of notifications, it inherently leads to people, it leads to people leaving the topic.
